About Dan

Dan started out in 1998 as a trainee clapper loader on a film drama for ITV, directed by BAFTA award winner Peter Kosminsky.  He has never looked back and quickly rose through the ranks of camera assistant and camera trainee before becoming a permanent and valued member of the studio and PSC camera team at ITV Meridian in Southampton as a cameraman and Jimmy Jib operator.

In 2003, Dan went freelance following the closure of the Southampton studios.  He has since been fortunate enough to work along side some of the most skilled and talented people in the industry on a huge variety of productions.

Dan is extremely passionate about his work and will always go that extra mile to ensure the job is done properly.  In 2011 he was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award for best camerawork.

When Dan is not working, you’ll find him flying a Piper PA28 around the country having gained his Private Pilots Licence in 2007.
